This session was a tough one. Maria asked me to photograph her mother with her family one last time, her mom was dying of cancer. So this session was to celebrate her life. And even though it was a sad occasion they came together and celebrated Cathy's life with smiles and laughter. We all shed a few tears, but I'm so happy I was the one chosen by Maria and her family to capture these moments for them.

Cathy has now passed away and I hope she is free of pain and it looking down on her beautiful family as they try to make it without her. Cancer is an asshole.
